Netflix has released the official trailer for its new music competition Building the Band and it gives fans a glimpse at their final look of Liam Payne before his death. The One Direction star appears in the series as a mentor/judge alongside Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Rowland. In the trailer, Liam is seen advising groups on his similar experience in one of the biggest boy bands in the world after it was created on The X-Factor (UK) in 2010. However, this series flips the usual competition structure on its head and puts the singers in complete control as they seek to form their very own bands in individual "booths" without ever seeing each other. The show premieres July 9, nine months following Liam's death at the age of 31 after falling from a balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
